It's Monday! What Are You Reading!

This is a book meme by Sheila of Book Journey. It's a great way of sharing our reading week.

I had another good week and read;
Mary Tudor by Anna Whitelock. Interesting and readable but not quite enough detail for me.

Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut. This was a re-read for me. Loved it this time round.

The Bachman Books by Stephen King. Proves that King is more than just a horror writer.

Just now I am reading;
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. Have finally come off my YA ban. Won't get through my TBR pile if I don't. Not the best choice as I am really not enjoying it.

Next I plan to read;
A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. Really can't wait to read this one. Loved the first one.

What are you reading?

  1. I didn't think A Great and Terrible Beauty was all that good either! :-)

    Have a good week!

  2. Nice line-up of titles. I haven't started on the George R Martin series yet but I've heard it's fanntastic!
    Have a great week and happy reading :)

  3. What a diverse list of reads! Good for you.

  4. Wow, Slaughterhouse 5! What a story that was...haven't thought of it in years, though. Thanks for sharing your mailbox...and for visiting mine.

  5. Have you read Sharon Penman? She does awesome historicsl novels. Hope you have a good week.

  6. leeswammes it was awful. Glad I finished it.

    Teddyree, I hope you get to read them. I started book 2 today and I'm already sucked back into the story.

    Thanks Deb, I get bored if I tend to read the same things all the time. I learned that the hard way.

    Laurel-Rain, I loved Slaughterhouse 5. I wasn't to fond of it the first time but obviously things change over time. Glad I gave it another chance.

    Tracy, thanks for the tip. I haven't heard of Sharon Penman but she is now noted.

  7. Thank you for the kind thoughts for my cousin.

    You will love Clash of Kings! I don't know how Martin keeps twisting the plot around, but he does. I didn't care too much for A Great and Terrible Beauty either. I've never picked up the rest of the series and don't really have any intention of doing so. I really need to read Slaughterhouse 5 sometime. Enjoy your week!
