Frequent Commenter Award - my first award!

Yay! My blog has won it's first award. This is from Gabriel Reads. Thank you Gabriel.

For this award I have now to pass it on to at least two others, recommend four books and recommend four blogs. I would have awarded pwb of curiosity killed by bookworm but she was also awarded this by Gabriel. So I am awarding it to Imaginary friends and Sally of Elifylop.

Four books I recommend;

1. One Day - David Nicholls
2. White Teeth - Zadie Smith
3. Cloud Atlas - David Mitchell
4. Jpod - Douglas Coupland

Four book blogs I recommend;

1. This Week At The Library.
2. Books I Done Read.
3. Curiosity Killed the Bookworm.
4. The Eye Of Loni's Storm.

Thanks again for the award Gabriel.

  1. Thanks for the recommendation Karen. I thought Cloud Atlas had potential but it was abit of a slog for me and I hated how when I was just getting into a story it would junp to the next. At one point I thought my copy was missing pages! Loved JPod (and I even liked the short lived TV show based on it) and I have a pending mooch for One Day.

  2. I can actually see why you felt Cloud Atlas was a bit of a slog. There were sections of it I wasn't too fond of but over all I enjoyed it.

    JPod is one of my favourite books. Whenever I introduce someone to Douglas Coupland I lend that one out last because it's the best one.

    I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like One Day. I have loaned my copy out more times than I can count.

  4. Thank you so much for the award Karen, now I shall think about recommendations. Strange thing - out of your four book recommendations I actually have three on my reading list for this year. Cloud Atlas, White Teeth and Jpod... maybe I'll move them forward on the pile.
