It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! D This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from! This is a meme from Book Journey.

This week I read;

"Sweet Valley Confidential" by Francine Pascal (awful but fun)
"Heroes Vol 2" by Various (only good if you like the TV show).

Just now I am reading;

"Bonfire of the Vanities" by Tom Wolfe (irritating me no end).
"The Iliad" by Homer (part of a readalong, first post will be up today).

This week I hope to start;

Miss Chopsticks" by Xinran
"Watchmen" by Alan Moore (in an attempt to get through my graphic novels)

  1. I never watched Heroes to be honest. I tend to steer away from hypes and only start when the hype has gone down ;)

  2. I'm not much into hypes either. In this case though I did watch it right from the start. Got bored halfway through season2/3. These graphic novels have been sitting on my bookshelf from back then so thought it was about time I picked them up. Wish I had read them back then as they didn't really mean much to me now. These things happen I suppose.

  4. It's easier than you think, honest. The only thing daunting about it is the constant list of names but you're not meant to remember most of those.

  5. I love Francine Pascal, I read quite a few of the books in her Fearless series a while back; that woman knows how to write!

    Hope you enjoy this week's books too, have a great week. :)

  6. I wonder if Bonfire is irritating you in a good or bad, that one intrigues me.

  7. It's a good book, well written and an interesting story. Would love to punch each and every one of those characters. I've finished the book and they still infuriate me.

  8. I have Miss Chopsticks too and have yet to read it. I had it off the shelf once and then got busy and put it back.

  9. I read The Iliad in college and loved it. This week I finished up the manga I had on hand. I typically read an issue over my morning cup of coffee. Come see what I'm reading this week.

  10. The Illiad is one of those classics that I haven't ever gotten around to reading. I should!
